How Compass Concierge Works When You Sell in LA

Fresh paint, staging and repairs can change how buyers see your home. Here is how Compass Concierge lets you make those updates now and pay at closing.

Most Los Angeles sellers already know which projects would help their home show better — the paint that is overdue, the floors that look tired, the yard that needs attention. What holds many people back is the upfront cost and the hassle of managing it all right before a move.

What Compass Concierge is

Compass Concierge is a program available to sellers working with a Compass agent. Compass fronts the cost of eligible home-improvement services, and the amount is repaid from the sale proceeds at closing. There are no upfront fees and no interest charged, subject to the program's terms and eligibility.

Projects sellers commonly choose

  • Interior and exterior paint
  • Staging and furniture rental
  • Flooring refinishing or replacement
  • Landscaping and curb appeal
  • Deep cleaning, decluttering and minor repairs
  • Lighting updates

How we decide what is worth doing

Not every upgrade earns its keep. Before any work begins, Obie walks the home with you, looks at what buyers in your neighborhood respond to, and recommends the short list of projects most likely to improve your result. We gather estimates from vendors, agree on a timeline and keep you updated until the final walk-through.

Pairing Concierge with a pre-market launch

Improvements take time, and that time can work in your favor. While projects are underway, your home can be shared quietly as a Compass Private Exclusive and then as Coming Soon on Compass.com, so interest builds before the public launch. Read more in our guide to pre-market strategy.

Is it right for your home?

Concierge tends to make the biggest difference when a home has good bones but dated finishes, or when a seller would rather not spend savings before closing. If you are thinking about selling in Baldwin Hills, View Park, Ladera Heights, Culver City or nearby, reach out and we will tell you honestly which projects — if any — make sense.

Program terms, eligibility and vendor availability are set by Compass and may change. Services are provided by third-party vendors.
